Notaries public play an important legal role in Scottish life where the legal validity of a document requires the swearing of an oath. We can also provide you with legal proof of a document by notarising it or certifying it as a true copy. These documents can be both for individuals and private companies. We appreciate that notarial work can often be urgent. Subject to availability, we are happy to fix appointments at very short notice and are also able to visit - or do video calls - for those who are unable to walk or come to the office due to health conditions, accidents, dementia, etc.

Documents in foreign languages
If the document is in a foreign language the notary public needs to know what the content of the document is and we will send the document to be translated. We provide Notarisation, Legalisation and Apostille services, in addition, notaries witness documents, and we can provide certified copies of:
